About The Association

u.s. / spain gastronomy association

"The leading platform connecting Spain and the United States through gastronomy, hospitality, wine, tourism, culture, and business relationships."

The U.S. / Spain Gastronomy Association (USSGA) was created to promote and celebrate the rich culinary, hospitality, tourism, wine, and cultural traditions of Spain throughout the United States.

Our mission is to create strategic opportunities that connect Spain and the United States through consumer engagement, industry collaboration, cultural exchange, and business development. By bringing together government agencies, tourism organizations, chambers of commerce, chefs, restaurants, wineries, hospitality companies, food producers, media partners, and consumers, we aim to strengthen the relationship between both countries while increasing awareness and appreciation for everything Spain has to offer.

Unlike many organizations that focus primarily on business-to-business activities, the USSGA was established to engage consumers directly. We believe that consumer awareness drives tourism, restaurant visits, product demand, brand recognition, and long-term economic growth.

The Association's flagship platform is the Miami Seafood Festival & U.S. Paella Championship, which serves as our largest annual consumer activation and the official public launch platform for the USSGA.

Through year-round programming, events, promotions, educational initiatives, media partnerships, culinary experiences, and networking opportunities, the USSGA will support the growth and visibility of Spain's gastronomy, wine, tourism, hospitality, and cultural sectors throughout the United States.

Our Initial Objectives

• Build strategic partnerships throughout Spain and the United States

• Recruit Founding Members and industry supporters

• Secure sponsors and hospitality partners

• Develop gastronomy, wine, tourism, hospitality, and cultural programming

• Expand media, marketing, and promotional relationships

• Increase participation from chefs, restaurants, wineries, tourism organizations, and exhibitors

• Establish collaborations with Spanish governmental, tourism, trade, and cultural organizations

• Create consumer experiences that inspire travel to Spain and support Spanish products, destinations, and businesses

Strategic Partnerships

The Association is actively pursuing collaborations with organizations including Turespaña, ICEX, the Spain-U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Consulate General of Spain in Miami, IVACE, Turisme Comunitat Valenciana, the City of Sueca, regional tourism boards, wine councils, chambers of commerce, and other organizations throughout Spain.

Looking Ahead

As the Association grows, the USSGA will develop a national network of consumer events, culinary experiences, tourism showcases, educational programs, and business initiatives in key U.S. markets where Spanish culture, gastronomy, tourism, and business interests have the greatest opportunity to thrive.

Our vision is simple:

To become the premier platform promoting Spain's gastronomy, hospitality, wine, tourism, culture, and business opportunities throughout the United States.
